Update on my New SS SRT8

Well it arrived safe and sound yesterday trailerd to my doorstep, after worrying that I would miss the Lightning, there are only two words that describe this car…..

UNF-ING BELIEVABLE!!!!!!!

The L was nice but is not even in the same league as this car…sorry Ford, this thing takes me back to the old muscle car days it just feels that good! (But with all todays updates)
I lover the Silver Steel color you all were right Wooo HOOO!!

Jay, had my SRT8 almost 2 years and it is STILL a THRILL every day! This car is faster than almost any of the muscle cars (I too came from the day, 427 L88 1967 Chevelle, custom, 70 Mach I , 351 Clevand).
Look at some of the performance numbers taken from Musclecarclub.com - American Muscle Car information, statistics, and pictures.
Also remeber while Road and Track tested our SRT8's quarter mile, 13.2, many / most of us have seen better times, crack high 12's, and 0 - 60 under 5's, with 4.7 - 4.9 being common.

70 Cuda, 426 hemi (425hp), 0-60 5.6, quarter mile 13.41
70 Challenger, 440 (6 pack), 0-60 6.2, quarter 13.7
68 Charger, 426 hemi, 0-60 5.5 , quarter 13.9
70 Coronet, 440, 0-60 6.6, quarter 13.65
68 Vette, 427 L88 (one of alltime classics, like 426 hemi, underated at 425 hp) quarter mile 13.56
69 Chevelle, 396, 0-60 6.5, quarter 14.5
69 Chevelle COPO 427 limited race (323 built of 87, 000 units produced)
0 - 60 5.1 quarter mile 13.3
70 Chevelle 454 (450hp), 0 - 60 6.1, quarter mile 13.7

Hey Jay, our new SRT8's combine better performance than the old muscle cars, with the refinement in handling and luxury that makes the comparison similar to that of a WW I bi plane to a modern F16.

Anyway, have fun, welcome to the club, be SAFE.

Congratulations Jaybo! You bought the fastest color of course! These cars really are amazing rides for as little as they cost (relatively speaking) Glad the Lightening is becoming a distant memory.

Thumbs up Say Bye

Say bye bye to the family. You'll spend every waking moment driving, cleaning, modding, surfing the forum, peeking in the garage.....

It's a really great disease, this SRT MANIA!!!!!!!!!!!
