How does your rear Licence plate mount..?

Ok now that i actually have this thing...I noticed that I dont have any type of mounting frame for my plate on the back. I see the spots for the screws but Im not sure of a bracket. or are they just mounting the plate directly into the screw locations?

I have a front bracket in the trunk can someone show me a pick of the mounting bracket on the back??

I don't know of a bracket for the rear like there is for the front. I (and most people) just use a regular old frame around the rear plate. Mine at the moment just happens to be the dealer frame until my personalized plates arrive at which time I will remove the free advertising.

Hmmm so you all are just using the large self taping screws for the plate and drilling directly into the rear bumper where the dimples are marked for the holes...

for some reason it just doesnt seem right

Unlike the front plate which is optional in some states, the rear plate is required everywhere. So, putting two holes in the rear bumper is a non-issue in my book.

I'm naked up front. Rolling the dice with man in blue. It takes away from the look of the front end so its worth a fix it ticket now and again.

well I agree Im going to run a rear plate I was just wondering if there was some kind of mounting bracket that I was missing....screws directly into the bumper seems harsh.

Got a license frame from the selling dealer, got a chrome plated one from my custom vinyl shop right after I bought one at wally world. Screws go through top two holes of frame and license and into the bumper. No problems.

If I had a boom-boom system like some I heard at Starved Rock, I'd have to have all four bolt/screws tightened down to keep the frame from vibrating and making that irritating buzzing noise.

Is that what makes that obnoxious rattling noise? YUCK!

I went and bought a custom frame for mine as there was no other choice...I wasn't going to have the plate naked!

I bought a plastic mounting plate from auto zone... Its about 1/2 inch thick black ABS. It bolts into the back bumper just like the plate does, but it give me less worries about the plate scratching the paint
