Make sure you have protection

Upgraded from a passport to a Valentine One last week. Trip this week to Chicago.

On the way about 100 miles into the trip up I kept getting a reading from the rear. Off / On, but then I keep the checking the rearview mirror. Sure enough Crown Vic in the rear view mirror. Move to the right and watch him pace a Volvo and then pull him over, never using radar again.

2nd encounter. Coming home there's a notorious spot and I noticed a couple of ON/ Off cycles. Then it goes from One to Two. Pull right reduce to 70 and viola. Two in the middle behind trees. Sorry Monte Carlo and Lexus 350.

Good protection is the thing to have.

i've been using the same V1 for ten years now. the arrows and bogey counter is what separates it from every other detector. my second unit arrives tomorrow.

there is a concealed display available, but useless unless you power from the outlet under the A/C. if you want the front/rear protection, you'll need it to be mounted where the antennas can can through the front windshield, and rear window. i have mine mounted high, next to the rearview mirror, and i'm using the invisicord to power it from my mirror.

now in a another posting there was the "ultimate" V1 mod.....integrated into your mirror.

Using rearview mirror to power a radar detector???

The SRT-8's should come with the Radar detector built in!

Just bought my 2nd V1. Price including second day shipping was right around $420. Expect to pay another $30 or so for the remote display, if you want it.

cool

hands down, it's the best. Make sure you run your serial number online at their site so you can see if you have the whole suite of coverages.

They do updates on older units! We have one in every car and take one with us on trips.

bogey counter and arrows do rock. Knowing where the source eminates from is the key. By the way. Saved me on Laser this morning.

Man I love this V1
