Talking Day at the track!! 4 SRTs

Went to the track today! Had a great time. It was Very hot and humid. Was 93 degrees on two of my runs and i forgot to look on the third one. Previously i had run a 13.14 @ 111.14 with just a Airhammer and Reso Delete and really cold weather!

Met up with blake (1srt8-2nv) at the track. I got there first and i see blake pullin in with a magnum srt in front of him. Turns out the guy is about to be a member over on the OC and is a real cool guy. Never found out who owned the charger (on 24s..with a 25 series tire on it..whoa). It was there when i arrived. I was hopin for a 12.xx. The weather freakin SUCKED big time. My fourth pass, i was pullin into the burnout area before the light and it started raining .. damnit.

I had the fans on when between runs, it would cool down to about 150 or so. Start up and be at 176 by the time i got the tree. All runs were like this, 176 at the tree, about 185 or so by the end of the 1/4.

First run, me and blake, I'm in the far lane. my time was 13.5 @ 108 - blake 13.9 @ 100
YouTube - 300C SRT8 vs 300C SRT8

Second run, me and blake, Fan lane again, my time was a 13.4 @ 108 - blake 13.9 @ 100
YouTube - 300C SRT8 vs 300C SRT8

Third run, me and (sry, don't remember his name) MagSRT8, me in far lane, my time was a 13.2 @ 108 - MagSRT8 13.5 @ 103

Left to Right - Me, Blake, ChargerSRT, MagSRT (new member)

Lookin' good again Justin! I know I asked this before, Blake is a little slow...do rims hurt that bad? Was he running the stock thermostat?

Hey Justin. Looks a good time until the rain came. Can't wait to roll with you guys to the Shindig. Is Blake going? Gotta get the new MagnumSRT owner to go as well. Let him know about the Shindig.

Eric. I would say the 22" does make a diff. and slow you down. The best I ever ran, on 22", was with Freebird (13.4) with long tubes, high flo cats and exhaust, with a CAI. I ran consistent 13.04 to 13.1 all day long with my MagnumSRT, all stock, even the 20" wheels.

Eric, I agree. That would be a great time (and good speed) for an R/T, but it's a lousy time (and slow speed) for an SRT8, IMO, unless there was lots of slippage at the launch.

Sounds like a great time Justin. Too bad the weather was uncooperative. It’s definitely summer swelter down here as well. Still all in all some good runs. Thanks for sharing the pics of those beautiful and awesome rides.

Here are some previous times Blake went to the track so you can compare. His 22’s definitely slow him down…..not sure by how much.

Pre-22s blake said his best was a 13.0 i don't know what the weather conditions were like though. Last time to this track blake was running 13.4 in good weather. He is also running the 185 tstat.

Mark, the new mag owner has actually been lurking on the OC for a while now. He know about the shindig and about the CoolIt Fan mod. We swapped info and he said he was down for making the trip to Perry with us.

Yeah, I had some crappy times but what do you expect with a CAI, cat back and 22" wheels!!! If I were to put some smaller, lighter wheels on the car it would run alot better, but I like to see what it will do the way that I am going to drive the car when I go out with my friends. I don't plan on taking an extra set of light wheels and tires in my trunk just so I can say I run .XX faster in the quarter mile! I mainly compete in car shows and that is what I build the car for, if I wanted it for the speed then I would not have bought a 300 more like a viper or Zo6. But I enjoy it and that is all!

And yeah Mark, I will be cruising with ya'll to the shindig in August, already registered and got my rooms!!

Great. Haven't seen you in some time. Gonna be a fun ride. I am registered and got my room as well. Did you also pay your fee for the Shindig yet?
