Coolant question

I know there has been alot of discussion on the coolant and this question may have been answered, so excuse me if it has. Cuurently my coolant looks good (ruby red) I only have 1,100 miles, would it be benneficial / ok to add the additive now without a flush ?

Look for clarity more than color, there should be no sediment or powder floating around in it.

SMOKIN, I added waterwetter at 1,000 miles and Zerex Super Protector at 3,000 and now have over 4,000 miles on it with no coolant problems at all so far. Thats just my experience!

The answer to the question is yes it would be ok. I would change my tstat as well to keep the coolant temps down. Some here think that the OE 203 deg tstat is just to high and we have gone to the motorad 4128 180 deg tstat to keep the coolant temps down, which in turn keeps the oil temps down. There is also a coolant fan switch you can add to keep the coolant temps between 180-190 deg. Since you only have 1100 miles and clear coolant you can be a test mule for the high coolant temp debate.
