Talking I Can See 12s at The End of The Tunnel

Well, made it out to Pacific Raceways for a little TnT. It's almost comical now, every Wednesday I have off for racing it rains. Fortunately it let up enough to get a few runs in. There were only 20 or so cars out, so the track was all ours. I raced an 06 WRX STI all of my runs, nice guy, just getting in the grove of things. No mods yet on his car.

On my first run there wasn't enough VHT on the track and I had to back out after blowing off the tires past the 60ft. I ended up with a dismal 13.8. After laying down another pass of VHT and giving the tires a good warm up I ran a 13.3 @ 104. It felt ok, but I ran at 200F so I decided to cool down for 40 min. After cooling down I nailed a 13.1 @ 105, but I was sleeping at the line. So in my mind I'm like, DAMN 12s are in sight. I did a 30 min cool down and just as I pull back into the lanes here comes the rain.

The thing that sucked most was just after the rain hit a Magnacharged CTS-V roles up. It would've been great to get a 12.x while running a CTS-V. I guess there's always next time.

I'll be heading out again Friday, June 22nd. It'd be great to get more mopars out there. I was in a sea of imports, but I was faster than the group including Evos and WRXs. Have a good one, play safe.

Ryan

Great Job Ryan! How do you launch? Do you get into WOT right away or feather it? Good meeting you on Sun btw., that was fun. I'm going to try and get out on Fri. to join you possibly. I have no idea what I can do with my beast...

WB, I rev up to about 1500rpm and then roll into it as the third amber lights up. For me, accelerating in one continuous motion results in better times then having to pedal it. It'd be great to get some more SRT8s out there. There's never more than 2 or 3.

All, Thanks for the comps, I know there are so many on the edge of 12s so maybe this is our summer. Good luck to all and hopefully my next thread about TnTs will include a 12.x time slip.

Ryan

Hey Ryan!
Good work- keep at it, 12's are right THERE!

Good seeing you and the others on Sunday; had a great time. I would have posted pics, but my laptop is down, blah... blah..

That supercharged CTS-V; was it burgundy?
