My first time KIND OF opening it up!

This is not a kill thread or anything like that, but I've had my car now for about 5 weeks and really have not had anyone want to PUSH ME in regards to opening it up.

Well the other night I was on the Fla Turnpike in Palm Beach cruising along at bout 80 or so when this car kind of comes up on me hard. I could not tell exactly what it was but it was a convertible Lexus with a young kid in it. He kind of looked at me and took off in between traffic. I proceeded to manage my way through the traffic and run him down during an open stretch of abou a mile or so with no traffic. I came up on him so hard and fast his face was like OH SHI-!!!!!!!

The one thing I remember while this was going on was that my heartrate must have been going a million miles an hours. It felt like my heart was coming out of my chest...LOL. YOu can obviously tell I do not race much but the adrenaline rush was amazing. I think I got it up to about 120 or so before I eventually let off.

For those of you that go 140+ I couldn't even imagine the rush you feel as you're hauling ass....it was almost like an addiction. I can't wait for my next encounter.

Have fun, but just make sure your next encounter is not with the FHP!
Do you have a radar detector?

Nice story and you’re right JMatt….they never get old. Spirited runs are addictive and so much fun with this car. I’m sure that kid’s eyes did bug out as he probably thought you had a base 300. I guess you showed him. As for going 140+….yes adrenaline is pumping, but it is so much fun! Head out on 80 west in the middle of the cane fields and you can let her rip without worrying about anything….as there is nothing out there. Have fun!!

Ugh more money...more money...more money. First the CAR...then the monthly payments..then the detailing supplies...then the cheap mods (srt8 badges, patches etc....then the airhammer....next the corsa....now the radar detection.....LOL

Not too mention the other 10 mods I need to do.....MORE MONEY..MORE MONEY...MORE MONEY.

Just the other day my wife say you got something for the car on Paypal didn't you...ooops $300 on the hammer honey!

Oh hell yeah there is...LOVE BUGS. I bet hitting some of those bad boys at 140 mph might even feel like small rocks hitting your car...LOL

I'll have to give it a try sometime. Glad to see it just wasn't me with the heartrate beat thing...I hadn't felt like that in years since back in my college football days.

Speed is addictive, isn't it, goherd!

My SRT8 goes from 70 to 130 very quickly and it's a delightful rush, to be sure!

Here's a money issue: Want a more stable car at speed? Lower it! Find some space in the budget for that one, too! ;-)

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your first "Let 'r rip!!!" experience. It won't be your last, I doubledang guarantee that! lololol
