my first neck snapping moment

i was heading to taco bell on lunch today, and was rushing to get back to work in time to actually enjoy my lunch for once, and i was turning left on a T intersection. i could see traffic coming from both ways and was rolling to a stop when i saw a car approaching me turn, giving me a shot to go. before the Besat could come to a complete stop, i stabbed the throttle about 1/3 of the way down, half expecting some wheel spin (TCS off) but instead the F1s gripped the fresh pavement and rocketed us forward and left, settling nicely into the lane. i saw my friends head go from just in my peripheral to destinctly out of my vision, and heard her say "wooo" as we shot down the street. i have to admit, my head was thrown back just a bit on that manuever too. i wish the car did that more often (or maybe i should stop driving like a bitch)!

Congrats on showing another person the power in hand. Don't you just love your SRT8? Speed TV's review had it right by saying "rattle snake" throttle response. My little cousins are always asking me what power is after I had them pinned in their seats after a hard launch.

yeah its nice to show people the power of the Darkside every now and then. most people in the car are kind of anticipating the power. i did it again last night, just to see if i could surprise myself, and i did its still just been 2 months, so the initial fun factor hasnt worn off. and i hope it never does.
