Anyone ever gone up against a????

2006 Pontiac GTO 6.0. I had some customer come by my shop with one and she couldn't say enough good stuff about it. Personally I wasn't impressed, but I didn't want to talk smack back. I'd like to know if anyone has gone toe to toe with one.
The car that I fear is the Audi RS4. How bout this one, anyone gone up against one.

the audi RS4 is not really THAT fast, the RS6 is the one you SHOULD fear, the RS4 is a high high 12 second low 13 second car... on a track though, the RS4 would probably embarass the SRT8s...

Stock srt8 vs stock gto the srt8 is about .30 quicker in the 1/4 mile. However, tuning is cheap and mods actually make the gto more power so they're easy to make into the mid 12s. Until some tight axx at chrysler releases the code for the srt8 tuning blows for us... They even have a basically stock 4.6l mustang on hypertechs home page running a 13.5 with just their programmer and cai. Those cars run mid 14s stock. I wish it was so easy to know a sec off.

Not that fast? Try racing one. And yes, they do embarrass our cars on the track!

Especially when the track is wet! Even a lowly A8 embarrassed me when the ground was wet.

RS4's are very nice cars and have comparable 0-60 times with the SRT8, co-worker has one and we were neck and neck one day after work.

0-60 in 4.8 seconds, but they are limited to 155 mph as are other Audi's

Only problem with the RS4's is the price tag, for "like" equipment you would have spend to over $ 70,000 in that price range you can get a whole lot of bang for your buck with some other vehicles. The RS4 is a sweet looking car.

We can take an A8 on a dry track no problem :-) Base model ($ 68,000) A8 0-60 in 6 seconds and top speed limited to 130 mph. Those A8 interiors though wow incredible

The RS4 is a very nice car, I'm not knocking them - I am just saying they are not THAT much faster than the SRT8... they are fast, no doubt - but it's not like you're racing a porsche turbo...

the RS4 is a NA, high revving V8 with high HP and low torque, so it suffers from weather, heat, and all the other stuff our cars do... just saying don't FEAR them... the RS6 on the other hand is a twin turbo V8, and you SHOULD fear them (if you ever actually see one)...

Oh, and i have run against them, road course, drag and auto-x - not a single one could keep up with the STI, so take that for what it's worth... (granted the STI wasn't 100% stock, but it was stock enough to still race in stock classes).. In fact I often had more difficulty with the older 2.7TT S4s because those were almost always heavily modded and highway beasts.... Again, not knocking the RS4 at all - I would love to own one, they are beautiful cars and great performing cars - I am just saying that it'd be a good highway race... from a dig off the line, (as with any AWD) we're toast though...

Eh, my bone stock down to the paper filter went 13.9 in the 1/4 mile. 5 speed 2003 Mustang GT.

Then it got a **** tons of mods and for some reason every time I raced the car down the 1/4, something broke or flew off. So the best pass I ever got was 15.9 @ 59 mph. hehe The car was good for high 11's.
