Welcome to the forums, Rob. Hope you are enjoying your SRT. I have read thousands of posts and don't ever recall someone reporting a loss of EVIC lights.

Hopefully, one of our experts here can step up to assist you.

Did you try pulling fuse 11?

Mine has never done that. I'd pull the neg. cable on the battery, let sit for a bit, the reconnect and try it.

If that doesn't work, I suspect a blown circuit board.

That knob has nothing to do with the EVIC not visibly showing up. Even when it's turned completely to the off position, the EVIC info. will still be visible.

Not true. Mine disappeared one day and I couldn't figure what was going on for the life of me. Finally realized the car wash accidently messed with my dash dimmer and headlight knob. If your head lights are on with the dash dimmer set to very dim you won't see a thing in the day time.

I've done a bit of research through the service manual and found a section under INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - SERVICE INFORMATION, Section 8J, pages 76 and 77, entitle "ACTUATOR TEST".

The upshot is that one can do a self-diagnostic test, from the comfort of the driver's seat, on the instrument cluster, including circuitry, gauges, and indicators, including illumination of all of the segments in the Vacuum Flourescent Display (VFD) units. Successful completion of the test will confirm that the cluster is operational. There may still be other systems [CAN bus, PCM, FCM, TCM, ORC, CAB, or hard-wired inputs] that prevent operation, but the test will indicate whether the problem is in the cluster, or in some other system. If any VFD segment or an LED indicator fails to illuminate, or if a gauge needle fails to sweep through the calibration points and back, the cluster must be replaced!
The procedure is as follows:
1) Begin the test with the ignition switch in the Off position.
2) Depress the odometer/trip odometer switch button.
3) While still holding the odometer/trip odometer switch button depressed, turn the ignition switch to the On position, but do not start the engine.
4) Release the odometer/trip odometer switch button.
5) The instrument cluster will simultaneously begin to illuminate all of the operational segments in both VFD units, and perform a bulb check of each operational LED indicator. The VFD segments and LED indicators remain illuminated as each gauge needle is swept to several calibration points and back.
6) The instrument cluster will automatically exit the self-diagnostic mode and return to normal operation at the completion of the test. The actuator test will be aborted if the ignition switch is turned to the Off position, or if a vehicle speed message indicating that the vehicle is moving is received from the PCM over the CAN data bus during the test.

YUP!
Simply dusting off the dash can spin that thumb knob down, and with automatic headlights in the reduced light of late A.M. or early P.M. hours when you really don't notice that the headlights are on, or in a darkened garage, surprise: the EVIC goes dark (right along with the NAV screen, if so equipped).
