Initially the build rate will be high for the Chargers to fill the showrooms. This is a four day hoiliday weekend for us. No production friday through monday.

Thanks for the info. Are the 300s and Chargers built on the same line? In other words..once the Chargers go into production, does that mean no 300s will be built at the same time, or just 'less' because of what you stated about getting the Chargers into showrooms..

Thanks again!!

Dan

Thumbs up All hail CARBUILDER!!

This inside info. is invaluable. Thanks so much for providing these updates. Someone mentioned that they were going to build 6 SRT8s a day. Does that sound about right???

I love this kind of info! I also would like to know the average daily production of SRT8s and when the first day they come off the line.

Thanks!

Yes all our models are built on the same line. It means less 300s will be built. Prob 450 Chargers 450 300s and 300 magnums. We right now build 1200 units a day 5 days a week. By the middle of may we will be building 1400+ units a day 6 days a week. The production breakdown will be 500 chargers, 500 300s,and 400 magnums. Everything is dependant on order condition. The company tries to get cars out as fast as the orders come in, but like to have at least 45 day order backlog mainly so the part suppliers can be prepared.
We will have to wait till we are producing 2006 models to get the build number for the srt-8s. This depends on the supply of hemi engines
Hope that helps.

Thumbs up

I WANT TO SEND YOU MONEY CARBUILDER!!!! This is fabulous news.

Not alot mind you; I have little left after taking the hit on upgrading from my new C to the SRT8. Wait a minute. I already did indirectly by purchasing two vehicles built from your plant.

CARBUILDER can you please answer a question I asked in an earlier post - Does the SRT-8 have a limited slip rear end or not? None of the current owners on this site have answered yet. Thanks.

It has "Rear limited-slip differential and upgraded half shafts" Read that right off the dealer sheet.

Since the Brampton folks have started building the 06's, are there any differences between the 2005's and the 2006's that are noteworthy?
