I agree, what horse crap this is, the true enthusiasts are the ones who ordered early and moved heaven and earth to do so!!

It's actually worse than that. the release says "Customers who purchase an SRT vehicle after April 1, 2005 will receive the program. Owners of SRT vehicles ordered prior to April 1 may purchase the SRT Track Experience for $300."

Ordered prior to April 1 would exclude everyone to date from free participation. Go figure. You'd think they would want to do the opposite and reward those of us who committed early to the platform and sunk significant amounts of money down (at no interest) waiting for our vehicles. Even better, how about, "If you've waited more than a month for your vehicle to be delivered, the program is free!" Now that would be customer service!!

If you guys are such enthusiasts, then you surely will have no problem finding out about local track days through the various car clubs in your area. Lookup the website of your local racetrack, and you will find an event listing with club contacts. Call up or e-mail some of the clubs and see if you can tag along. It will be much cheaper than $300 and you'll most likely get more track time.

Do you guys need someone from DCX to hold your hand while you drive the track?

But you get to use THEIR cars, and not mess yours up. That's the allure.

Me personally I would gladly pay $300 for a $1300+ course and be thankful it was offered. I will also wait and see if that was just the authors words or if it comes to fruition. So may things have changed about these cars I will just wait and see what happens.

I am sure the State Viper clubs would have no problem letting me drive one of their member cars. YA RIGHT!!!
