How to Disable Dimming DriverSide Mirror? SRT

Hello,
can anybody tell How to Disable that Driver Side DIMMING Mirror? I find it very annoying if driving at night and that mirror turns dark. The inside mirror is fine but no need for that outside one. And I don't want to turn the inside mirror off. Just the outside one. Is there perhaps a fuse?

Thanks

I don't believe that you can just disable the auto-dim of the mirror by pulling a fuse. If you pull the mirror fuse, it will disable the entire mirror, so you won't be able to move it. But check your EVIC functions. There may be something in there to disable the dim function. I know for a fact that you can control the auto-down when in reverse function from EVIC. But I've never tried disabling the dim function because I like it. It only auto-dims if there are headlights behind you hitting the rear view mirror sensor. I'm not sure why you'd want to disable such a nifty function.

Well, because if light hits the inside mirror then my outside does not need to get dark! And there is nothing else, if there is no fuse then I guess I have to cut some cable/wire from the mirror?!? But I just don't want to damage anything else.
As for the outside dark mirror, I cannot see anything unless a car shines directly into that mirror. If a car is already on my left side at night, that mirror is just dark! Crap in my opinion.

Welcome to the forums, Michael. Something seems to be wrong with your auto dim mirror. I'm not sure about your description but it should not be turning dark (me thinking almost black) but rather just dim enough to soften the headlight glare. I would first have it checked out at the dealership before trying to find a way to disable it.

Also, the auto dim mirror might appear extremely dark from the headlight glare if there are no other vehicles or street lights anywhere on the road. I do notice that sometimes when I'm driving home to my home in the foothills when just one car comes up behind me.

Good luck!
