My 2006 SRT8 at My Dealer!

Well I am sooo excited it is tough to sleep at night. My 2006 SRT8 has apparently arrived at the dealership on Monday, May 9th. However, I can't sign the paperwork and pick it up yet! Apparently, the factory never sent the original invoice to my dealer. Without the invoice, my dealer said he can't "stock" the car in his system and officially sell it to me. He said he has a call in to the factory to get the invoice and it may take a few days yet......

So, the car is literally within 20 minutes of my house just sitting there waiting to be driven, but I can't do anything about it! Very Frustrating!

If I was you, I would run right down to that dealer and get the mileage off the car and instruct the dealership to not allow anyone to touch the car. It sounds like a stall tactic to me.

I agree with the above "check the mileage". I trust nobody (almost).

I'd go down to the dealer and ask, very nicely, that no one drive the car. It is not your car yet. No one I know likes being demanded to do anything. A demand might just piss-off someone enough to pass it around. A request, with an explanation of how important it is to you, will probably be much better received.

Yeah, that's what I did. It wasn't really necessary though 'cause my salesman took the keys and wouldn't even let my son in the car. He kept it inside and out of site.

You can print invoices electronically, no reason to wait for a paper copy from the factory. Well, for future reference, at least.
