**orders Update**

All, I spoke to my dealership this afternoon. They confirmed what many on the Brampton website have been saying since last week, but I did not want to believe was true.

ALL SRT8 BUILDS HAVE BEEN PLACED ON HOLD.

I do not yet have a reason, even the Brampton workers seem tightlipped about it. Please do not give me a f**king reason like the damn stereo did it. DCX will not stop the flow of sold vehicles because of a stupid stereo. If they have to tie a tin can and gum wrapper together, you can bet your ass the line will keep moving.

I'll post more information as it becomes available. I'm waiting for a call back from the GM. Dealership is also being very tightlipped.

There was another thread that stated the same thing a week or two ago. Grunt I believe, who actually works at the plant dismissed this claim. Unless something changed I will wait to here from him.

One of the Brampton threads asked one of the workers (I don't want to post his name, but see the Private Quarters thread) and he responded positively that he had'nt seen any in a while, but did'nt know why.

This is dated May 6th, 2005. Not two weeks ago, but last Friday.

The factory workers say otherwise. Here's the thread:

Last nights SRT-8s build

Wow -- and all it took was the design of the Chrysler 300 for a bunch of men to sit around wanting to know every move happening at some factory somewhere to the point of theorizing and gossiping about it; like some housewives sitting around wanting to know more about 'what really happened' at a secret J.Lo or Brittany wedding!

Let me be clear, I have MANY better things to do than sit around checking this website for information. Furthermore, once my vehicle is delivered (IF it gets delivered), I will probably make like Casper.

I'm here only to keep the flow of information up to date concerning my order.

I know why i'm here.....YOU apparently have yours, so I have no f***ing idea what your excuse is. But I have noticed 'ya smart mouth on several threads. If 'ya can't offer knowledge/information, keep your diarreah-trap closed.

He Mich, relax dude! He was not only making fun of ALL of us fellow forum members, he was being somewhat self depricating himself since he's here a lot. If you've read any of my "cry me a river" posts about my car and even I found it funny you'd realize this.

Just chill out.

If you wanna make like casper and disappear that's your choice, but I find it hard to believe you'll only need the forum before you own the car.... not after.

In a vain attempt to return to topic:

There is nothing that I can see from my end that confirms this stoppage. I can certainly imagine that in building 300s, Magnums, and Chargers, that not building an SRT8 for a while isn't out of the ordinary.
