Smile Picked Up new 06 BLK SRT 8 Last Night

Well I must say it is quite a car.

I posted a thread yesterday about VIN #'s as I have had a car ordered since Feb 10 and it is in D status but nothing has happened. I am going to a dinner meeting last night and I drive by a local Chrysler dealer here in VA and what do I see but a new Black SRT 8 sitting out front!! Did a quick uturn and bought it on the spot!!

It is quicker than I expected and while it does not have the kicker option it does have the 268 watt Boston Ac system it as well as option l and ll. I did pay 1K over which was hard but I have been waiting since Feb and said I will just sacrifice on something else for the 1k.
I feel lucky and want to say to all of you out there that are waiting as I did it is worth the wait so stick with it!!

Your one LUCKY Puppy. Regardless what you paid for it, it'll be worth a LOT MORE, next year. As we all know now the production numbers for 06, will not be more than 1000. SOOO, now all the Dealers know if they don't have ALLOCATION, they won't be getting a car no matter, even if, their a 10 Star Dealer. However Dealers continue to suck customers in,signing contracts, taking Deposits, talking B.S., when they know the truth, just plain sleazy.. Please remember the Mantra of this board, NO ALLOCATION>NO VIN< NO CAR!!! You have to be VIGILANT, like Reagan always said, TRUST BUT VERIFY!!

All the Best, Enjoy the Ride!!

You know the site administrator should post that information right on the main screen to this site.

[PLEASE NOTE] In an effort to reduce the number of allocation, code-status, etc. questions from new members, please see the following:

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VIN# AND ARE NOT IN "D" STATUS, YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE A 2006 SRT8. THE ENTIRE 2006 ALLOCATION IS GONE.

We hope that this does'nt dissuade you from joining our site, but we hope it will help you better inform you while on your vehicle-purchasing hunt.

[THANK YOU]

First of all congratulations!!! That's awesome you just found it sitting there, like destiny had you in mind.

Do you have a deposit on the other one you ordered?

VV90,
I do have 2K down and I was going to have to pay two Over MSRP. They will refund my money. They are one of the top five dealers in the US and will get the car. They are in Ohio. Let me know.
