No, it's no 300c with aftermarket goodies. I see it all the time on the complex. There are several of them prowling around

I loved living in Detroit, you would see cars in all sorts of configurartions before they came out...sometimes you'd get lucky and see Europe or Japan only models in town for "bechmarking" and reverse engineering. You see them all the time if you're looking.

I love it!! Rear deck thing and all. I hop they also add some sport seats and less chrome! Can't wait to place my order.

Lip Spoiler is apparently morphing its location downwards. Compare:

Expect a Gas Guzzler Tax (GGT) on this one. I read that the 6.1 liter Hemi will not have MDS and shut down to 4 cylinders.

If so, there would not be a GGT on the Magnum SRT-8 because it is classified as a truck.

Here are the GGT for Mercedes cars:

2005 C55 AMG - 367HP - $1,300
2005 E55 AMG - 469HP - $1,700
2005 SL55 AMG - 493HP - $2,100
2005 SL600 - 493HP - $2,600
2005 S600 - 493HP - $3,000

and:

BMW 760iL - 438HP $1,300

Talking

Still, priced around $45K - the 300 SRT-8 oughta give my local Cadillac dealer fits. CTS/STS-Vs indeed!

Agreed, but with this type of vehicle the owners are particular people (usually) who have the $$$ to purchase, operate, insure, and maintain transportation of this type with little concern for a couple thousand dollars....and even if they do notice this tax, it is often considered part of the price of their fun. I don't see it as a deterrent.
