Any SRT-8 in Tampa area want to run my EVO

I have a SRT-8 on order and just want to see what my future car will do against my current car. Took it to the track one time 12.5 at 109.64 mph. So I would get the jump but I figure the SRT would be just about to pass me after the qtr mile. I would also like to do some runs from a roll which would eliminate the launching advantage the EVO has.

We are having a meet on July 3rd at the Clearwater Mall Target on SR60. Starts at 11am. There should be 1 SRT that will show up and maybe 2. Unfortunately, I have not seen them post here, but member jhelmuth has talked with them at the dealer. Feel free to stop by.

If Pat shows up, I'm thinking you might talk her into it - but I doubt it. The other SRT8 that may be there will be a dealer car. The one guy I know of who has an SRT8 that would be very willing lives in my neighborhood - but I haven't got his address. If I see him again, I'll stop him and let him know that you'd like to run... maybe that will get him out to the meet.


PS - I have some very nice pix of the SRT8 (engine, intertior, etc.) and an SRT8 brochure that I will bring to the meet.

I got to drive the SRT-8 3 weeks ago. I was so impressed I had to order one. I drove the S4 and the CTS-V first. But the SRt-8 rules compared to those 2 cars. We would have run them that night but a cop came flying by after I came in from the SRT-8 drive. I think he was looking for the "big silver sedan" that was smoking his tires at the light a mile back. So we thought it would be best not to run the EVO which is very loud. Thanks for the invite on July 3. I think I will be out of town for July 4th weekend but not sure yet.
