Ignorant Salepeople

I recently saw an SRT8 listed on a dealers inventory and sent an inquiry about it to see what they were going to be asking for it, and as many of you have commented on in past postings, some of the people attempting to sell this car are f***ing stupid.

I just had to pass this reply on.....For a brief moment I thought about removing their name to protect those to stupid to realize how stupid they are, but then I said..."Naaaahhhh"

Here are the two replys I got;
(Please keep in mind that this is the internet sales MANAGER)

---------- Original Message ----------

Im assuming the one you list on your website is sold. Can you tell me what
your pricing is? I understand it is a limited production and I know that a
lot of dealers are taking fully advanatage of that and charging a
"disgustingly" high premium over MSRP. I would possibly interested in
ordering one or purchasing one in the future depending on the price.

Thanks in advance

Erik,

yes, the one you request is sold, and yes the production on the SRT-8 is limited (only 150). For the price dealerships and ebay are selling 10,000-15,000 over MSRP, as long as poeple keep pay the price the market will remain high price. I wish I have better new for you.

Is that last sentence in English?????

Almost forgot...found a short review on the SRT that some may not have seen.

For those interested, its a new internet car magazine started here in Central Texas. Not bad for a free publication.

WOW, thanks for the link.

Nicely done online magazine in my opinion!! There is a clickable advertisement in the issue where you can also download an issue of their online A/V magazine "AV Guide Monthly", too.

Thanks again,
Mike

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

If you're willing to wait and/or travel out of state for this awesomely awesome of the awesomest cars, you can get one a sticker.

If you gotta have one NOW and locally, you will pay markup.

So whacha gonna do?

LOL....Dude, you're not proving me wrong. I too purchased an SRT-8 at sticker from a dealer less than a mile from my house. I didn't mean that it was impossible, I'm just saying it's typical.

Of course look around your state first, I'm just preparing anyone for the inevitable.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem like a "black or white" issue.

Well, of course, every dealer that is willing to deal at sticker must have folks nearby them

Thanks 96SS

That's cool that it's free, and looks like magazines that I pay good money for - I hope it does well.

They need to watch the details though (don't we all) they say that the SRT8 is supercharged! LOL It might feel that way but .........

I've had some howlers, and some just stupid statements, in the correspondence with dealer salesmen (on-forum sales personel are absolutely excluded from this statement!) if I havn't deleted them I'll post some.
