Whudda Plick (oh, and I have a question)

Coming back from lunch, the mall security officer at the gate held onto my ID as he asked me if I was the one he saw squealing out of here "a little while ago"...

Okay, so I do have brand new winter tires on less than a week ago that will never have the grip that the toyos had, and I did detect a chirp as I cornered from a stop going out the gate...but this guy's making like I went up in a cloud of smoke at the front door of the local police precinct!

So I said that I'm pretty sure I have the only silver 300 in the county, so it must have been me that he'd seen, but that I sure didn't remember misbehaving in any way, and he gives me a hard look, gives back my ID and says "keep the wheels on the road"

Seriously? Was he powertripping, or can he not tell the difference between an incidental chirp and an intentional burnout??? Whadda Maroon! So as soon as I got back to the office, I sat in the parking lot, whipped out the diablo, and raised my shift point and rev limit

The question is...I couldn't find a way to specify my shift point, I just found options for "raised" and "stock". I did find a place to set a specific rev limit. Obviously, this had been raised when I raised the shift point...but it was raised to an almost worrying number...I can't remember exactly what it was, but I think it was either 6700 or 6800...I would personally have gone to 6500...

So, what is the RPMs of the canned raised shift point, can you specify your own rather than choosing between the canned one and stock, and isn't 67-6800 a little high?

I believe the rev limit is 6800 and the 1-2 shift point is 6400 and it's 6600 for each next upshift. But of course with the adaptives it doesn't go quite that high most of the time. It will if I pull fuse 11 though

clarification

With the revision I have my car shifts really good, solid and fast, with a nice sustained rip into second.

The stock limiter is set at 6400. Stock shifts are supposed to occur at 6200.

You can only select "raised", the other options are for 5.7's.

Then set your rev limiter to 6600 and it should be fine. Just be aware that all cars are subtly different and you may need a bit more rev limiter.

Post up your results!
