number of srt8s to be built

new issue of Car and Driver says 25,000 6.1L engines to be built per year - this would be across the 4 SRT platforms that use this engine.

so, if assume evenly split that is about 6K cars per year.

i think this is most reliable estimate we have seen thus far as they mentioned that a special plant was built to modify the 5.7L engine (with a capcity for 25K engines per year) and the constraint i would think has been the 6.1L engine (just as the 5.7L engine has been the constraint on the C).

clearly not going to hit that number in Calendar year '05 - perhaps in calendar year '06 which should alleviate the supply issues - with the ramp of the magnum, Jeep and Charger i would think supply stays tight until next year.
