Eibach Pro-Kit for SRT8

I noticed that the kit is now available for the SRT8 and was wondering if anyone has ordered one yet. I'm also trying to confirm that the nut/bolt from the upper control arm will stay the same distance it is now. It only sits about 3/4" above the front tires and appears that it would rub if it moves at all. Any help would be appreciated. BTW.......I DO NOT plan on changing tires and wheels. I will stay stock with them.

Tell me how it does. I know that I will need to lower the car a little. What is the drop with this kit?

1.6" is what is advertised and from my understanding it's a bit less than that right after they're installed. Evidently it takes a little while for them to "break in" If i get anywhere between 1"to 1 1/2" I think it will be perfect.....in addition to the improved handling I should see.

BTW: Eibach is also making a sway bar kit as well. I'll probably go one step at a time and see if I really need it.....seems like the bar would be more for track applications anyways

I contacted Eibach directly and they do not have a kit for the SRT-8, only the std. 300C is available. Also, they did not give any indication that they are even working on a kit for this car. If anyone knows of a lowering kit that is available, I am ready.

Just got off the phone with Eibach and they said the fitment for the 300C and the 300C SRT8 is the same ( only difference of course would be the extra 1/2" that the 8 is already lowered ) They are using the same spring for both kits. Springs for the AWD are definately NOT available yet and this kit will not fit the AWD car. I also spoke with several SRT8 owners who have installed the H&R springs (which lowers the car a full 2") and none of them have had any problems, even when going with a 22" wheel and tire package. They are shipping my kit out today and hopefully i'll have it installed by he end of next week. i'll be sure to post before and after pics.

I spoke with somebody else over at eibach a few days ago and got a little bit of a different story. he said that although the kit for the 300C would technically fit the SRT8, he didn't suggest doing it since the SRT8 specific kit is in developement as we speak. Even thought the springs should fit the 8 just fine, due to the differences in setups of the cars the only thing I would really accomplish with the 300C kit would be the drop. The kit being designed for the SRT8 will also improve handling as well. Eibach says the tough thing about designing springs for the SRT8 is due to the fact that they are pretty decent springs to begin with (evidently there would be little if anything to gain by using the 300C springs------other than lowering the car)

did you order any springs for your srt-8?

I was looking at the H&R ones, that are available now ... just curious if you had installed anything yet ....and what your thoughts were ...
