Anyone trade a 300C for an SRT8?

Has anyone on the board traded a 300C for an SRT8 and if you have is there that much difference in the SRT from the 300C to warrant the switch? I'm not trying to start any trouble on the board with this question. I'm just trying to make sure I'm doing the right thing trading the 2005 C for an 8. thanks....

Trade to SRT8

Was your 300c purchased or leased?

I leased my 300c and was looking to see if there are any lease upgrade plans that would allow swap.

A difference? Yeah i would say so...

IMHO I think that Chrysler should of only made SRT8's ....the reason simple... Anything besides for an SRT8 looks plain and simple.... take a body like it has and a chassis and so on.... and the 8 only makes sense...the best look ,performance, interior .... making the car what is should and nothing else.... I have driven the 300c and seen many... i own an SRT8.... was going to buy a 300c prior to the SRT8 coming out.... but waited and now I have the car with the combination it was meant to have....kinda like saying ... "should i get the vette with the 8 cyl. base or the decked out z06"?
what do you think.... dont settle for what you have... get what you want

If they hadn't of made the 300c, your car would not only exist, nor would this forum. Dont bite the hand that feeds you SRT-8 Elitist

..., is hard to do.
Seriously, can you describe what the differences in the performance department are really like?
First and foremost, can you feel a real difference in acceleration?
Is it a major improvement, or just better.
Getting 4100 lbs off the line takes some real torque: at 425 vs 390lbs - I cant be sure the 6.1L SRT8 really has enough.
Since the local dealers aren't letting anyone test drive an SRT-8, itz hard to justify the extra $15K+ "just in case" .
THANX for any feedback.

These are exactly my questions. I'm not trying to start a war between 300C and SRT8 owners. I love high performance cars. I have owned many of them. I really like my 300C but if the 8 is a big step up I don't mind the hit. The problem is unless someone who has owned a 300C and then moved on to an 8 shares their opinion with me I have no way of knowing if it is worth it.

I traded my 2005AWDC for a 2006SRT8C 3 weeks ago. I already have 3,000 miles on my SRT-8 I love the SRT-8 for cornering braking and power. Am I glad I traded??? a BIG YES!!! It's awesome but it's more race than luxury.

The SRT-8 is not as practical as the 5.7l 300C as a daily driver. In the SRT-8 steep driveway needs to be taken at a diagonal angles to avoid scraping the front and back. Speed bumps are road hazards and potholes are serious issues. No spare tire, lot's of brake dust, gas guzzler tax and higher insurance makes the SRT-8 more of a car for a limited audience that love the thrills of fast cornering, fast driving and head turning. It's a completely different beast with needs that the average driver might not care for. If you like to race then it might be for you. If you have a family and hate doing the diagonal driveway routine 5-10 times a day it might not be your car. The 300 the C and the SRT-8 are all great cars.

BTW: My dealer gave me $33K trade-in on my 2005 300C AWD. Don't let them low ball you on the trade.
