426 Stroker Upgrade (Best price and performance)

Hello everyone,

I have a 2010 300c SRT8 and I'd like to upgrade the 6.1 Hemi. The 6.1 is cool but I want to make it a MOPAR beast, 426+transmission+SC+axles+tune.

In your opinions or facts, who has the best package for this? Please include factors like price, performance, warranty, and reliability.

Thanks in advance,

Moe.

That's asking a lot from our members!

What I recommend is this: Do some research on packages out there (it's a short list).

Zero in on 2 or 3, then ask for those that have the package to give you their experience.

I think you'll get better and more specific response with this approach to such a major mod.

I can put together a great package for you! We carry 4 different brands of builders so you have a choice in engines as well!

I'd go with the following for a sick build...

Low-mid comp 426(419cid) with ported heads and blower cam
ProCharger F1D setup or larger
SHR Viking Trans
FTI Custom boost built Converter
ATI FlexPlate
Wavetrac Rear LSD
DSS 1400 Axles
Full Return style fuel system
80# injectors or larger

Just make sure that whatever you're shooting for you know that there will be incidentals involved with the build...if you build the motor accordingly for BIG HP levels then it should last you a good solid 3-5 years without having to refresh every season unless you're trying to build a drag monster, the trans and blower setup will last as long as you need them to as well as the rear end components as they are built to take a serious beating all the time, main thing to make sure you do right is have the right motor built for your application with the right internals of course and make sure you have the right fuel setup for your application. A lot of guys overlook fuel and cheap out there but it's one of the most important thing to get right!

Shoot me an email or PM if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help! We do great package deals all the time for the LX/WK community!

What kind of crank and RWHP would we be looking at with this package?

Depends on you and what levels you want, can be anywhere from 750-800bhp(650 whp at about 10-12 psi) at super low boost on the 426 to upwards of 1250bhp at higher boost levels on a race gas tune to even bigger with some nitrous on top, the record setting 8second charger in street trim has a built motor with procharger f1d and a nitrous setup with all the supporting mods of course..proven monster

Goals? That is the most important. If you want power for the sake of power on a daily driver some upgrades are not going to work well for that. If you want a track queen, some will, if you want in between you need to set a budget. Things can get really expensive. I had visions of strokers & super chargers, heads, cam etc, can't afford any of that. Best I can do is a simple 100 shot NOS setup.
