hey everybody .ill give you guys the rundown quick.
I have a 2007 chrysler srt i have a decent sized rear mount turbo along with headers i think a 2900 stall converter and have changed rear axels ( i think i took the 09 magnums)
anyway, i have 550rwhp and can NOT get into the 11's. I run nitto 555r's because the track is 1.5hrs away and im still afraid even with the axle change. I cant get out of the hole my 60ft is like 1.8-1.9 my end speed is around 120mph and im running 12-12.5...
I can not get the turbo to spool off the line, my next step is to hollow out my already not working high flow cats. I refuse to install nitrous so MY question is about changing the gears?
What fun would that provide/ a little help out of the hole?
thanks in advance
Nick

Launching a turbocharged car with a stall converter is a chore anyway.. hell my n/a car won't launch half the damn time and I'm having traction issues slowing me down as well. What RPM do you launch at and do you flash the converter and go or do you hold it up to stall and launch? Our cars pull timing after a second or two and most people who flash and go have better hole shots. However for the traction issues I would follow maddog, you need to beef her up, consider dss axles as you have a combo with the right tire that would pull damn hard if it will hook. The lack of spool right now may actually benefit you till traction is less of an issue as if you flash it and had a quick spool so you were well in boost off the line... Your never gonna hook.

That's what I'm saying! To me any tq multiplier is going to make it tougher to launch without ultra sticky tires! I read the earlier responses and thought I was going nuts?! Lol.. to me if you can't hook already just dropping gears is going to make it even easier... Especially with boost and a stall converter. To me beef up the rear end as it sounds like he's at his limit before an axle break and find some dr's to try before swapping gears.

Thanks everyone for info so far.. I don't think flashing converter will help
I can sit on the line and my brakes will hold the car. It will only rev till around 3500 maybe a
Little more. Boost gauge at -7 ( starts building at 0) I can get the car to hook from start if I am at right rpm. My issue is after hook it's that .5-1sec slug to begin the spool. I'm thinking maybe my airflow restriction is preventing spooling?? I thought maybe a change of gears could bring me out of thAt hole faster .
The exhaust has been changed around so both pipes are flowing directly into turbo. I'm going to hollow cats out completely (like I said since they aren't working anyway) hoping that Will allow me to build more..
