Dynatech 6.1L SRT-8 Complete Header Systems On Sale Now

But before you get too excited...

Right now Dynatech's SRT-8 header systems are still in the works. Dynatech has said that these systems are due out soon but their "getting ready to be released" isn't as soon as we would like it to be. They currently have an SRT-8 in their shop right now as they are still in the design stage and it could be a few weeks - with Dynatech it can alwasy be two weeks or it can be longer - before they are done designing their system and then getting it through production can add a couple of weeks. I expect when these systems are released that they will be priced in the range of $100.00 to $200.00 higher that the 5.7L systems but because they have not released this system yet I was able to secure pre-sale pricing on these systems at the same price as the 5.7L systems. As we are finishing up our GB this Friday with exceptional pricing on the Dynatechs, pre-ordering plus pre-ordering at the GB prices will end up saving you a heck of lot I'm guessing. If you're interested in receiving more information on this "soon to be released system", and our pre-order pricing, just pm me or give me a call for more details. As we all saw, the 5.7L system netted 20 horsepower and 42 lb-ft of torque in Prop Man's dyno results. And for the 6.1L's? We can only guess how much higher they will be but even if you just get the same results as the 5.7L's, it makes this system well worth the investment in performance.

We will also be offering the Jet Hot ceramic coating for these headers, too, as we know that a lot of you may be interested in this. The Jet Hot ceramic coating is a nice option and also one that we recommend as it not only keeps its' chrome color versus the regular systems where the stainless steel changes color due to heat over time but it also adds to the performance of the system. The ceramic coating adds a couple additional horsepower because it keeps the exhaust gases hotter allowing them to flow easier and faster away from the engine. The ceramic also helps to keep the engine compartment temperatures lower which in the long run can positively affect the lifespan of not only the headers (which is something that you really shouldn't be worried about since they are stainless steel) but it also helps to extend the lifespan on the surrounding components in the compartment, too.

Just let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

Oh - I'd say these systems should be available soon. Potentially VERY soon!

Any word on the system lately? Did some Mopar info help out with the dyno testing? I hope somebody get cracking(literally) on the PCM soon.....

All three programmer manufacturers, Hypertech, Diablo and Superchips, have said that they plan on releasing programmers by the end of the year for the 5.7L's. I'm assuming that these will carry over to the 6.1L's also but if they don't we're sure that a 6.1L programmer is sure to follow shortly behind.

I also love this quote - from October 2005. Apparently all three vendors were promising programmers (not just chips or flashes - but PROGRAMMERS) by the end of the year.....2005.
