Does anyone have an image of the underside of the SRT8? I would like to install the cutouts somewhere that might provide more ground clearance but I don't know what the exhaust looks like. Someone on chargerforums says they installed the cutouts just before the suitcase muffler but I haven't seen pics posted.

I ordered the parts this morning from dmhperformance.

Agreed. Excluding shady smog techs, the cut outs will fail the visual as it's not OEM. A few years ago, they were going to fail me on CARB certified headers (shorties), even with a CARB number stamped on the pipes and paper documentation saying they were good to go in Cali. This was for a LT1 pontiac.

Then it's a good thing I'm leaving California in March. Or do all states do that?

Here ya go. Here is the underside of my car. You can see where the cutouts were installed. That is probably the best spot for ground clearance, and provides the most room for mounting of the electronic cutouts.

BTW, I'm thinking about getting rid of my cutouts in the next few months. Don't bombard me with questions yet because i'm just thinking about it. If you can go a few days with out you car I would be willing to do a swap. Your Stock pipes for mine with cutouts installed. You gotta pay shipping both ways. thats all I would ask.
