Aw man, I dealt with the leaking cutout stuff on my SRT-4. Going through drive-thru's it echo's off the wall and gets real annoying and loud - is DMH going to keep replacing them or something? Has to be a way to stop that... try gasket sealer?

Update ladies and gents...Got my first ticket for running open cut-outs last night. The officer was really cool about it. He told me he was going the opposite direction(2 lanes both direction) with his windows up and still heard me roaring along . So i'm going to be capping them for a while. I'll still let if roar at the track though. Maybe a private driveway or two as well.

Last thing he told me before he walked off was "Oh BTW, my charger srt8 would make you look like your standing still."

Was he unaware that yours is an SRT-8?

And how much is the ticket?

Has anyone tried a set of the doug's headers electic coutouts? They sound like they may last longer without leaking. I would post a link, but have not posted 4 times or more. Just google doug's headers cutout and click on the summit racing link to them as they have a good description and picture.

One day in the next few years i hope to purchase an srt8. I have the wife convinced, it is simply now a little bit of waiting. Painful as it is...

Why is it illegal to run cutouts, just because of the sound?? If the sound is the only problem just press the close button and tell them it’s fixed! Its not like your running open headers.
