More Exhaust Cutout Videos

NukedSRT and I stopped by Talon's house to check out his freshly installed exhaust cutouts. They sound a hundred times better than any other exhaust system I've heard. BTW, this is a Charger SRT8 with the only other mod being K&N CAI.

Hear for yourself in this video.
Charger SRT8 with Exhaust Cutouts (part 1)
This video shows the cutouts open and closed but only at idle. I recorded a couple clips revving it to 3k but the mic just couldn't handle it. It just sounds like static. It sounded like a race car whenever it was revved. Absolutely beautiful!

Here's the video from underneath the SRT8:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...453&pr=goog-sl
The audio is completely distorted when the car is revved so that's not quite what it sounded like. All I can see is the sound is incredible! I found what I want for Christmas!

This one completes the trilogy:

It'll give you an idea of just how loud it gets with a little bit of RPM. This is in the driver's seat with the door open.

FANTASTIC!
I have wanted to do this for SOOO long.
If I understand you right, these cutouts were installed on the stock SRT8 exhaust.
Which cutouts were used & where did he get them?
Difficult install? Did he install them himself?

Definitely hot. It is so kool to be able to flip a switch.

1. Yes, everything is stock except the cutouts.
2. http://dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm
3. Don't know if the install was difficult
4. No, he had them installed at some nation-wide chain since he couldn't find any specialty place open on the weekends (Midas, I think).

Wow! How legal are they in states that do emissions testing??? I'm guessing they pass since you live in Cali and I know they're pretty strict out there.

Everyone with an LX is installing them after the cats since there isn't enough room before. That means they are 100% emissions legal. The only issue would be with noise ordinances.
