JBA exhaust videos

I finally shot some video of my car with it running today. It's stock except for the JBA catback. It's a little on the loud side (wife doesn't care for it) but not really to me. About volume 20 on the radio and it's not very noticeable, but naturally, it's speed dependent, with a bit of drone around 70-80. I don't get on open interstate very often so that's not really a factor, but when I do and the wife's not with me, I just turn up the radio a little louder and enjoy it even more. Hope this helps any of you trying to decide on what to get. I posted 11 different sound/video bites.

I think it sounds amazing. Not sure if I would care for the drone as I do mostly highway driving. The most important thing is that you’re happy with the sound as it really is hard to determine sound tolerance from an audio bit. Congratulations and enjoy that throaty sound!

Your exhaust is soo killer! Do you have any pics of what the tips look like on the 300?

Good work!

Hey, love the stereo and grill. I may be working in Cali. for a few months later this year. If so, I am going to try and meet up with everyone in that area.

Yeah, it's not easy, but that's why I was trying to do it so that others could maybe get an idea at least. I'm going to have to carry a passenger next time so I can actually video the spl meter while driving and also adjust the radio so you can tell at what level the radio more or less defeats the exhaust. I need to find a little bit quieter stretch of pavement also and a less windy day.

I had a view from the back on with the sound at idle, but removed it since I wasn't crazy about my tag being visible. I don't know how I could blur it out. Maybe I can get a shot that is at the right angle to miss it. The tips look good and stick out 1 or 2 inches, with JBA engraved in the top.

I love my JBA cat back, on my MagSRT. This is one crazy loud and saweet exhaust. This is not an exhaust that will pass the wife test and does indeed have some drone. I found that if you are in AutoStick and keep the rpm's up, the drone cancels faster and not as loud if you are in 3rd or 4th in AS. If you are not in AutoStick (the drone is louder and longer in 3rd and 4th).

But the drone is not a problem for me. I think the JBA cat back, on it's own, is almost as loud as my Zoomers, Kooks high flow cats and Kooks long tube headers combined, on my 3CSRT.

If you want a loud exhaust, not worried about drone too much and for a great price. Go with a JBA cat back.
