New SRT8 catback coming soon

Hi guys,

There is a new option for us SRT8 owners that is lower cost than the stainless steel systems available. This system should sound frigging awesome. (I have used ultraflo mufflers before) It should also be a nice alternative to the more expensive stainless systems.

Looks like it is going to be ~644.00 bucks though summit racing. ( I am sure vendors here will be offering the system as well)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DYNOMAX® RELEASES HIGH-FLOW, UNIQUE TONE EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR DODGE SRT8 APPLICATIONS

Brand Delivers System that Posts Significant Gains on Dyno,
Adds Strong Curb Appeal and Sound to Popular Hemi Applications

LAS VEGAS, October 31, 2006 – Coaxing more out of a Hemi isn’t that hard, at least not for the engineers at DynoMax Performance Exhaust. DynoMax has released an advanced high flow cat-back system for SRT8 applications, including 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8, Dodge Magnum SRT8, and Chrysler 300 SRT8 muscle cars. DynoMax products can be seen this week at the SEMA Show exhibit (#23429).
Available through thousands of leading North American exhaust dealers, DynoMax products are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN).
“DynoMax understands the Hemi owner. They want more power, one-of-a-kind sound, and stunning looks,” said DynoMax National Sales Manager Scott Stutler. “We boast up to a 26-horsepower increase and a gain of 32-ft. lbs. of torque at 4200 RPM on the dyno.”
Inside each new 3-in. all-aluminized, mandrel-bend DynoMax Charger/Magnum/300 SRT8 exhaust system (p/n 19440) is a proven Ultra Flo™ welded muffler. DynoMax Ultra Flo welded mufflers, an advanced straight-through design that minimizes exhaust backpressure, feature CRF (continuous roving fiberglass) technology to produce a powerful tone. For increased style, DynoMax finishes the SRT8 exhaust system with a pair of high-visibility, polished 3 ½-in. stainless steel, DynoMax logo-etched tips. All necessary installation hardware is included.
For more information on the DynoMax Performance Exhaust system for the Dodge SRT8 family or other late-model applications, please contact your nearest performance exhaust specialist or visit www.dynomax.com. For the name and location of your nearest DynoMax supplier, visit www.dynomax.com or call 1-734-384-7806.

Here is a diagram another member (thejackal24) posted a while ago on the system...

when i had my 500 hp turbo mustang i had the best dyno results with the dynomax mufflers, so i can vouch that they do make power. the sound was fair, but it is hard to compare a turbo to a NA exhaust sound. i went through bassani and borla before keeping the dynomax on. i believe they gave me about 10 rwhp over the others, but keep in mind this was a turbo car.

This system will be super high flowing. I ran 127mph in the quarter mile naturally aspirated through a SINGLE 17229 Ultraflo muffler on a single 3 inch intermediate pipe with my 98 formula. That muffler flows almost 1000cfm! It also sounds awesome.

This system will have a pair of these for each bank. (The part number 55341 is for the tailpipes.

I am excited about the system and my experience with dynomax is that their dyno numbers are right on target.
