Isn't there a company called level 5 that makes half shafts for vettes?

DSS has beefier "level5" half shafts for mustangs but I don't think they make them.

Anyone? Bueller?

HalV has a line on some high strength 1/2 shafts for the 6.1 cars. He wants to keep intrest post on LXF so he can keep track of them easier as he is on the road quite a bit.

goto HalV's HalfShafts Thread

This is not a group buy its an intrest level kind of thing.

Please post up onLXF if your intrested in these.

I bolted Nittos on my car last night and went out to "break them in". I wouldn't be surprized if I tear up a half shaft. It will be interesting to see how the differentials hold up with alot of people putting big horsepower through them this year.

Thank you for your confidence.

I think cryo will just be a bandaid. We need chromoly stubs at the least.

It's alot of labor to take them out, get them treated, and put them back in. Like I've said, I want to lauch on a 150 shot, when I get forged, progressive 150 launch and a second 100 to 150. 1.50 60's are within reach.

Let's get serious. I think the 8" ring gear might be our next weakest link, than the tranny. It's anyone guess at this time.

Lets find out...
I need to see a broken one. You have one that I can borrow for about 2-3weeks.
I need to run a few tests on it.
I'll do the shipping... good?

You got my vote too, Hal. I stopped by AZP&S today for a little chat , and I got to check out your car a little , AND I spied some more serious Hemi parts on the table, looks like they're 'bout ready to go in. At least I assume they're yours.

I notice the rear end was "back together", I hope you find a bullet-proof solution for that beast. L8R, Dean

Mine got shipped off the some guys that do Viper halfshafts

No answer from them yet.

There are some on the horizon. They will be 1000HP guaranteed, made of 300M forged steel which is stronger than 4340. Will be under $2,000.00 for the pair.

Thanks

We replaced the broken stock shaft awhile back. Yeah those are some of my new parts, some in the trunk too.

Sad, but I don't think I will have the new halfshafts for the Rumble in the Desert. So probably won't be able to run anyway near our potential.
