Getting her to drape over my car each time I take it out has proven more problematic than you would think. She gets really pissed when I drive through a big patch of bugs. But it really is so much fun to wash them off of her. Fun with clear bra

I have done the delet silencer. Really not a difference in sound. But got that stupid plastic bowl off the intake. I didn't want sound so I am happy. I don't like a big blow horn on my intake.

As for the K&N drop in. If it made a whole bunch of noise, which it doesn't, there would be a whole bunch of people saying how much faster their car is. We're seeing that now with other intakes and there is no proof in the pudding. Some dyno numbers, but that is not real world.

If you want to add hp to your car, you need to look furhter than a CAI. If you want noise to tell you you are going faster...well, buy the loudest one on the market.

hehe well written I removed that little shroud piece and gave the stock filter a nice supply of fresh air. (I didn't have the silencer) I am going with a K&N drop in just so I do not have to buy a new airfilter every 5K miles. (I am really particular about having a clean airfilter...)

I don't want all the racket of a CAI. I watched a lot of video clips and really didn't get into the sound at all...

Cheers,
Chris

While at the dyno in San Diego late last year we ran my 100% stock 300c SRT8 with and without the K&N filter. The dyno showed 9 hp increase across the whole rev range except for the top. So no better than 372 max hp. But for 40 buck 9 hp is a great investment.

I have a 350z as ive mentioned before, ive done a few mods to it, cai, plenum spacer, crank pulley, and test pipes. I told my gf not to let me mod the srt8 when i get it and shes keeping to what i say (kinda wishing she wouldnt but i guess its good haha). Anyways tell me what you think guys im interested and i believe you also get to keep your warrenty with it cause it is still using the stock intake. Thanks
