srt8 k&n drop in filter

hey guys, just wondering if anyone with the srt8 has put a k&n drop in replacement into their car. wondering if you like it, or if it made any difference what so ever lol. I have a 350z as ive mentioned before, ive done a few mods to it, cai, plenum spacer, crank pulley, and test pipes. I told my gf not to let me mod the srt8 when i get it and shes keeping to what i say (kinda wishing she wouldnt but i guess its good haha). Anyways tell me what you think guys im interested and i believe you also get to keep your warrenty with it cause it is still using the stock intake. Thanks

Russell

I have one too. No difference from stock at all. Didn't really expect any gains.

Have one as well, no noticeable gains in power or sound, as others mentioned didnt expect any here.

I will be removing the silencer though this summer and replacing with a magnum or charger srt stock pipe. (for sound) cant beleive i havent seen anyone do this yet..

Here are some posts about the K & N filter. I found it interesting during my search that there about 10 people that were selling their K & N’s for something else. They didn’t elaborate why........they were just listed in the buy/sell area. The last post is one from Meister concerning the Air Hammer CAI. Hope this helps!

You're very welcome...anytime!

It’s better to find this type of stuff out before you get your bubble burst. I’m running stock except for tint and clear bra. I will get a CAI one day soon just because it LOOKS awesome when the hood is popped open. I want the cosmetic effect. If I get an extra horse or two fine, but I want the WOW factor when dudes look and realize we’ve got something serious under this hood.

Talking Air Flow Foam Filter

If you really have to go by way of the "Drop-in",
use the Tru-Flow foam filter. Works so much better on actual filtering..
