Smile INDY 6.1 Heads/Intake Dynoed +40hp

We bolted a set of INDY's CNC ported 6.1 heads and their intake on my SRT-8 this week and then I did some dyno testing today. Numbers were -

375.84hp/379.62ft-lb before this upgrade
407.49hp/396.00ft-lb after the head/intake install

That's about a 32hp improvement at the rear wheels and 40hp at the flywheel. Flywheel hp is up close to 510. Just a little higher than what we'll be seeing from the 6.4 when it's released in these cars in a few years.

The added power is really noticeable from 4000 RPMs to redline. I'm going to try to keep the stock cam in there... for now The ASM supercharger is looking pretty good too. I just don't want to turn this into a "race car". It will see some track action if the weather is good next weekend through.

The car has Kooks long tube headers with cats and the stock exhaust. It breaths through the K+N induction. I'm thinking something bigger will feed it better. A stage II B&G tune takes care of the air/fuel.

Is it me or the number's look low? At your rwhp of 407 your flywheel is 485 with a 16% driveline loss. 510 is with a 20% driveline loss, which I beleive these cars don't have.

I was figuring about 50 at the flywheel but 40 isn't to bad. It would be nice to see what the actual % loss is between the flywheel and rear wheels. 5/6 speed cars usually have about 15% loss while automatics will lose more.

It's sitting next to me. I need to scan it at work

A/F was 12.31 at 5600 RPMs.

For some reason I thought the headers made it throw a code? Your first dyno seems similar for a mangaflow exhaust only modded car. I'd be curious what if anything you'd pick up from a magnaflow exhaust.

17.5% driveline loss.

3rd run always shows more HP than 1st run, as the trans/diff/etc loosen up once they warm up.
