CIS, previously CTS makes a turbo kit for the 6.1's. On second thought they might be in the production stages still....

Do a good search on the evil ones name and read through some postings about the problems that go with him and you will understand a long lasting issue with him and his products.

Maybe someone else is in design stages on a turbo. But there are superchargers available now.

WHOOPS!!! is this 'name' a sore subject!! i will take your advise then and stay well clear... i know everyone goes down the s/charger route but i love the idea of a well sorted ( little lag ) turbo / intercooler install... i have owned turbo'ed and charged cars in the past and prefered the mid range kick you get from a turbo, so the thought of strapping one to a 6.1 hemmi too me, sounds the way to go !!!!!

Whether it's a Turbocharger (exhaust gas driven) or a Supercharger (belt driven) - - and both have their good and bad points - - the issue with putting either one on a Chrysler hemi is the same. Under boost you need more fuel and so far there's not a reliable way to acheive this. That's why the GSM supercharged 6.1's are blowing up, because they lean out under boost. Way back before I ever heard of this forum I saw an add for "Kenne Bell" superchargers in a car magazine, for the 5.7 hemi. But when I went to their website it said they had been unable to produce a reliable kit for the hemi due to this issue and therefore were not going to release it after all.
Other companies appear not to be quite so reputable and have decided to go ahead and sell it and let owners be the sacrificial lambs I guess.

Someone WILL figure it out I'm sure; I know that I would likely trust Kenne Bell if and when they do release a supercharger for sale, given their actions in the past.

You have soiled yourself and should be ashamed. You must now pass through the ritual bathing ceremony to cleanse your dishonored self. I’ll alert the Bakerettes you’ll be stopping by for a bath!

A turbo would be great if it were from a reliable source and did well with our 6.1
