AFE STG2 all the way it sounded loud as an exhaust ! now my car sounds better than my friends 300c borla exhaust when you WOT it screams like a monster & here is a nice video for you guys :
I am going with a drop in filter at first as well. The SRT8 airbox is a beautifully designed piece. Also there have been NO back to back dynos with an Airhammer versus SRT8 stock airbox. Only the 5.7 have been tested.
I did remove the duct next to the drivers side foglight to get cold fresh air to the bottom of the stock airbox.
Guys, As a suggestion..read the write-up at AirFlow.com about the difference
between the K&N and the AirFlow. I have used them both, & in MYopinion,
the AirFlow performs MUCH better. More air flow, better filtration, easier cleaning, and lasts longer. The only reason I changed to the "Frankentake III" was for the extra air flow, and the SOUND . 'Course the awesome "eye opening " effect when you open the hood, is very Kool also. Seriously though, take a minute, do the research before you buy. It may
prove to be worthwhile.
Just My Opinion..for what's it worth.

I have a question for you guys. I have the Mopar CAI a dealer installed option when I bought the car. I need to know if the filter I have on it is oiled or dry. It looks blue and it does not feel oiled. If it is not oiled then what is the recommended method of cleaning it?

I bought a Mopar CAI and installed it 5 days ago and don't like it at all. I don't like the sound, and I swear the car is bogging more than ever.
I will be switching back to the stock box in the near future. To me, the louder the engine the more the car feels like it is struggling to make power and accelerate. I guess I am weird, but I like a more subtle sound of the stock box.
I am not a gear head, but after closely looking at the design, I just don't see how the Mopar CAI is going to get more cold air than the stock box. There is too much open space around the filter where the engine heat will make its way into the filter. The stock box looks like a better design to keep the engine heat away from the filter. Live and learn!
Well, I can see that there is not a consensus of agreement on this thread!
I just had a Mopar CAI installed this past weekend and my beast never sounded better and there is absolutely no bogging!
