Question about power coating

Here is my dilemma, I am thinking of getting my stock SRT8 wheels powder coated black. If I go through with it and I decide later I want to change back to lets say a polish or chrome will I have a difficult time getting through the black powder coating? What steps would I have to go through to get the powder coating off if I decide later that is what I want to do? Thanks

You mean powder coating, correct? Not power.
It's baked on powder so I think it would be hard to remove .
I would do some google search about powder coating!
Or a member who knows more about than me can give you better advice

When they powder coat the wheels they first bead blast the rims, which leaves a stippled surface.
Then they apply the powder finish, filling in the rough surface.

Here are some pics of my black wheels:

So Manwagon those wheels are powder coated? Did you sell those wheels? I thought you had those sharp looking chrome wheels you were running, but wasn’t sure if you like them or not. I’m confused.

I don’t know if you can reverse a powder coated item as it is supposed to be permanent I thought.

powder coating

You would be better off just getting new wheels if you wanted to change them out. You can always sell the powder coat wheels to recoup some money at a later date on a new wheel purchase, you wouldn't be the first to do that.
OK so taking off the P. C. is a bad idea. Is there diff. kinds of powder coating you can do. Can you shoot a clearcoat over the p.c. or does it come in a shine. How durable is this stuff. Will a high pressure car wash destroy the finish?
