Actually, one of the SRT-8 owners posted dyno results for his Corsa, which showed it gave very little HP gain. My guess is the SRT-8's exhaust is about as good as you can get, I certainly wouldn't want unecessary restrictions on a performance system. I'd expect 10hp from the 5.7, because the entire intake/exhaust system is heavily baffled and restricted to make it quiter. So all there really is for the SRT-8 is the improvement of exhaust note.

The most reliable dyno testing (to see actual HP gains from just one particular product) is going from a completely stock vehicle to installing just that one. The only dyno's I've seen is with other modifications added with the Corsa. You can expect a 5-8% HP gain from most exhausts systems worth their weight. However, than number seems to be declining on newer model cars due to a shift in focus (emissions to performance - at least on some brands).

I hope that helps.

Are you saying SRT8 owners should be seeing HP gains of 22 to 34 (5% to 8% of 425) with just a catback or catback and headers?

The 8% seems a tad on the high side if you only mean catback.

This quote has been an industry standard for a very long time, however these numbers are changing since vehicles (like the SRT8) are coming from the factory with performance in mind.

I hope that helps.
