Guys- I did also hear that this was coming out from a very reputable place in Toms River NJ. They told me Diablo was very very close and testing their units on a srt8 mule about two months ago. I hope they are right.

JakeZ- Yes, they plug into the OBDII port and tune the car.

I heard from this guy that his friend knows a shop that is supposed to be getting the beta testing program to run on their dyno soon. So its gotta be real...

But seriously, the part about gear ratio/tire sizes!!!! That would be GREAT. SRT engineers and others said it couldn't be done even with a tuner...

I will say, when I had a Corvette C6 they kept dangling the carrot with a new tuner for us and every two weeks th manufacturer pushed the date back. After 4 or 5 months nothing happend and I sold my car, I'm not sure when the hand held became available for those cars

Will all that being said, I still want it and will be waiting anxiously.

When I called Diablosport yesterday I tried to get a fairly firm date for the release of this tuner. The person I spoke with said the end of July/beginning of August. I then asked if that was a real date or an automotive date (those keep changing). He noted that this was supposed to be out awhile ago and that they are going full out to have it finished and on the market as soon as possible. I think they will be pretty close to the timeframe that was set.

They know that the SRT-8 owners were left out when the other handhelds came out. He said they will be covered too

You really need to be able to change your gear ratios in the flash as well... People are going to want different gears than the stock ones becuase honestly, I don't know of anyone that wants top end out of these cars if they race them...

What is B&G using and why can no one else flash/modify the PCMs?

With the subaru's it was just a matter of someone reverse engineering the PCM and then writing a programmer - do people just not do this for these cars?

I'm not going to hold my breath for the diablo, but it sure would be nice... I am still half tempted to do the b&g with a spare PCM though...
