Exhaust ?? for SRT8. no BS please

ok im getting frustrated here. ive been reading up on exhaust a good bit. ive got my heart set on the corsa cat back.

but i want a set of hi flow cats as well. i was told the corsa wont work with the magnaflow cats.

the only other hi flow cats i know of are the JBA's. but it seems from what i read, you need the JBA headers as well for that. but then i cant find them for sale anywhere. just the headers for the 5.7.

so whats the deal?? who has a full exhaust that includes a corsa cat back system?? can you tell me what you have in the rest of your system that works together??

at bare minimum i need a hi flow cat to go with the corsa. but i would like a set of short tube headers as well. so someone please tell me what bolts up together. i am pulling my hair out here.

thanks

Hey,

Corsa will work with magnaflow high-flow cat, kooks long tubes or dynatech long tube headers. Everything will bolt up...just following the directions on the install. Who ever told you corsa cannot work with high-flows need to be bound, gagged and shot.

Here is a pic courtesy of rjkusse with corsa & maggies bolted up...

High flow cats and cat-back systems are interchangeable. I have not ever heard of anyone not being able to use one with another.

I have Corsa cat-back and Magnaflow high-flow cats on mine. I do occasionally get a CEL from the cats, but it doesn't bother me.

I'm not convinced that there are any gains to be had from a set of shorty headers on the SRT8's. The stock headers flow very well.

While the stock srt8 headers look great in design, there is one major flaw. For some reason the factory welded a fat bead around the inside of each port. I took pictures of it stock and then grinded that bead away and took more pictures to compare the difference. This site won't let me upload the pic though.
