I believe the rest of the system is 2.5 inch piping. They probably wouldn't make a difference at all. A good upgrade would be going with hi flow cats and mufflers. The biggest choke point seems to be the cats.

well most of us tried it and loved everything about it ... we have what we call a bottles neck that kills the airflow at one point and with the high flows a better flow replaces that issue

I just installed the SRT8 HF cats yesterday.

They are full 3 inch that neck down to 2.75 to connect to the stock catback. I installed the cats and the catback.

Nope but I removed the center brace (not needed) No clearance issues, rattling etc of any kind...

Will you still pass the smog check with the high flow cats? Also, what is the performance gain? And how much $?

Even California? I cannot find anything anywhere that says if they have a CARB exemption or not. Now that I have the AFEII I am wondering about that too.....
