If you are wanting to keep the car long term, have a strong and reliable runner, but also have the power +500rwhp the easiest way would be to build a bottom end and go forced induction/blower - especially if $$$$ is no problem.

Please explain more....sounds interesting. Is that the same as a SC???

With tuning now available, you can pretty much run any forced induction setup on a stock bottom end providing the tune is spot on. How long will the engine last though, very hard to say seeing that the age of these cars is still only a few years old, especially with any type of forced induction.

My Advice.

Depending on how radical you want to go, you could simply go forged rods and pistons on your 6.1L engine and run any type of supercharger/turbo without fear of blowing up your motor. It will run strong and should give you plenty of trouble free motoring. I expect on a 6.1L with a forged 6.1L bottom end, 8.8 comp pistons you will sit quite comfortably at no less than 500rwhp on 6psi. Throw 8-10 psi at it and you should see 550+ at the treads easily.

At present there is a car in Florida which has just been tuned by RDP/Diablo running a PPP purpose built 426, RDP-Bullet blower which netted 635rwhp VERY EASILY. This was only on 8psi and no intercooler. They are waiting to finish off the intercooler system before loading up on the 15psi setup which should see upwards of 750+rwhp (possibly much more). This motor is strong and will definitely handle it.

Really it all depends on how ridiculously quick and reliable you want to go.

Thanks for the info. Now I have to find a good quality shop in my area that can work on this car. I don't want "joe shmo" working on it. Also if I were to go the turbo route which turbos are good?? Which SC is good? Sorry for the stupid quest but what is PPP 426???
