Question swapping AFE from 5.7 to 6.1 question
I just got my srt and am trying to swap my AFE intake from my 5.7 into my 6.1. My question is what is the large box to the left of the intake tube in the srt? There isnt one in the 5.7 so I wanted to make sure it was a straight swap. Im thinking its the air silencer but im probably way off. I would post pics but im sure someone will know what im referring to.

the box you referred to is a resonator. It is a noise controller only and has no performance effect at all.

Remove it without fear.
