I have the same car, and it's been here in Houston 1 year & 3 months. Our climate is pretty harsh, at least to rubber.

What are you using to clean them ? I use the 50 cent carwashes' soap spray (NOT their wheel cleaner) and rub off the dust with a terrycloth washcloth. Then I squirt 'em with the carwashes' "wax", and rinse them with the "spot free rinse" water.

I may end up with your problem in the future, so I'll be interested in what others say.

My wheels still look brand new. I use wheel cleaner to clean them off. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem, but it's a good idea to wipe the brake dust off every week. If I'm washing my car in addition to cleaning the wheels, I will first spray the wheels with the wheel cleaner and let is soak in for a little while. Then I spray off the wheel cleaner and wash them with soap and water. The wheel cleaner does no damage to the wheels, but I wouldn't recommend using it in the sun or letting the stuff dry on the wheels.
