Header question

Does anybody have a shop manual or happen to know the torque setting for exhaust manifold/header bolts? I don't feel like guessing with aluminum heads. 06 300c srt8 kooks long tubes. Thanks for any help.

Thanks I'll have to do that. I'd have a hell of a time getting a torque wrench up there anyway w/o extensions and knuckles

31 newton meters...or 23 pound feet...or 270 pound inches.

You really should go to alldatadiy.com and get an account. I have both my car and my wife's through them, and it's paid for itself many times over. You'll want to know the right sequence to tighten the bolts, too, right? There's a nice schematic for it in alldata's online manual.

...of course, I don't know if they make tires for that!

The spec is 23 ft-lbs, but there's also a recommended tightening sequence.

Left side

7 6 1 5 back of engine
8 3 2 4

Right side

back of engine 5 1 6 7
4 2 3 8
