Thanks for taking the plunge either way. You have my respect for sure. I'd say 512 HP at the rear wheels. I'll be thinking about this all day so don't keep us waiting too long and take video!!!!!!!!
525 rwhp is my guess...what do I win when I'm proven right? (just kidding)...Wow, awesome looking engine!!!.....Congrats!!...Just so beautiful!!...It's probably too soon to ask these, but here are some questions rattling my brain:
1. Is it an easy of enough mod that it can be duplicated by GS into a "kit" and sold?
2. Can my guys here in Calgary install it, with instructions from GS?
3. Other mods you did and will do to accomodate the S/C?
4. Dangers/cautions for installation and driving?
5. Total cost?
6. Tires?
7. Is this car still steet legal?
8. Will GS cover a warranty if the S/C overheats or rips up anything engine/drivetrain related?
Speaking of rip ups....any referrals for a good rear end/tranny shop?...I may be spending a lot of time there....and at the tire shop....but hopefully not the cop shop....Anyone know a good lawyer?
Sorry, I had to get those out of my system <whew>...

In addition to hp, can we bet on the 0-60 time? It must be under 3.7 seconds (if the tires can grip it, that is!!)....How about the quarter mile?...Also, what kind of car will it beat?...Will it beat the Viper? The F430?...The Lamborghini?!!!...The Carrera?....gestimates galore!!...
So what's next - strapping a missile on the top and lighting the fuse?!....So I hear to get insurance, you have to have a agent actually come inspect the car (remember to slip him a Franklin, or Jefferson, or whatever your big bills are down in the States.....as an 'admin' fee before he goes)....So when can R&T come and interview you? - Bet you're real excited to meet those "action heros" - maybe you'll let them take it for a spin and do up a centerfold in their wonderful magazine!! ......BTW, when we video you, will we actually see the car, or will it just be one big unrecognizable blur?....Will you black out when you floor it?, or do they tape your foot down on the pedal just in case.....Will you send the test monkey out first before a human subject?.....How do we know this is for real and not just a hoax - a photochop conspiracy from the Cadillac forum?!!...(just kidding GS....)
Sorry guys....it's late, and I'm going out of my mind about the idea of a S/C.....History in the making......I've pm'd Chase at GS to find out if they can send the mod shop in Calgary the details and a "kit"....

Quote:"So what's next - strapping a missile on the top and lighting the fuse?!...." Hey,I like that idea!!! I think that prototype idea was orginated, researched and developed by WILLY COYOTE,with the helpful backing of the ACME Rocket Company!!
Just seems like, if feasible, a supercharger is a pretty effective modification for an SRT type application that it would have made sense for DCX to go in this direction (like AMG has done) unless there is some reason that a supercharger is not a good fit with the Hemi.
If done in a production sense, the compression ratio of the Hemi would not be in the 10.3:1 range, it would be more like 9.0:1 and be feed 7 to 8 lbs of boost.
Being a long time Corvette/GM sports car modder, I caution you guys to start paying attention to effective compression ratios given by a 10.3:1 comp motor being feed an additonal 6lbs of boost. Todays 91 octane fuels are generally right at the limit for this to work and you better have much better tuning ability for the engine than we have for the Hemi.
The kit will be available ASAP, it may be now that my car is done. It is easy enough for you to install if you are up to it. I imagine the most difficult part is pulling the front bumper off.
It is in the back of my mind to change the rods and pistons out, I need to find a good machine shop around here. When I worked at the dealer all we did was uncrate the parts and assemble them. We did our own valve jobs... I' rather have it done by a machinist any day over me hand lapping in a valve.
Well it is off to the dyno today. I'm not there with the car so I can't promise any video.
BUT THAT DAMN DYNO SLIP WILL BE POSTED for good or bad.
Now I need to see when the southern California tracks are open for a speed test. I better get online now and orders some tires from Tire Rack, I'm sure I will melt off a set or two.
I'm going to be real easy on the kit in the beginning, roll into the throttle.
Here is a laugh and I'm not serious about it. I need to get a real loud pop-off valve and set the little rice -burner driving kids back in their seats.
I don't know if they print that out, but they are programming the fuel injector controller today on the dyno. They rent the dyno for the whole day and have at it.
