All I know is that the fuel pump is not priming. Why? Not sure, but bringing it in for service tomorrow in the morning. Pretty bad since it hasnt even turned 6,500 miles yet.

Curious. Since the weather got warm, I've been cranking for longer to get the engine to turn over in the mornings.
I assumed it was some bad gas, but once I've started it's working fine... I wonder if the issue is bigger (I suspected fuel pumps initially, but letting the car sit with the key in position 2 for about a minute didn't solve the issue).
Thats how mine started as well. The fuel pump wasn't priming. So I turned off and on until it finally primed. Was happening for about a month. Gradually getting worse.
Then I had it towed in, and the service guy called me and blamed it on the alarm. Which was bull****. Then I explained that the alarm was only on for a week, and since it was doing it before the alarm install, that wasnt it.
He proceeded to say it was the alarm that deteoriated the effect. Later saying it was an auto shutdown circuit.
So he wanted to charge me for 1 hour diagnostic time, $95. So I told him fine, if it comes out that it had nothing to do with the alarm, will I pay the diagnostic charge. He said yes, I still have to pay it.
So I called the warranty number up, and told them the scenario. He told me dont worry, hold on the phone and he would call them to let them know the deal.
But I will say this, the audio company that installed my alarm, went there immediately to un-install the alarm. Just to clear up the issue it had nothing to do with them. Stand up company in Hollywood, FL.
But got a call back today, saying it might possibly be one of the fuel pumps. So they would have it done by tomorrow. After telling me they switch a couple modules out.
So it seems they couldnt figure it out, after making a claim it was the alarm. Guess they just dont want to foot the bill.
Will know for sure what it is by tomorrow hopefully.
So, when the problem began, you just had a difficult start at the beginning of the day, then the rest of the day was okay (easy starts)? If so, that's making me worry...
Sorry to hear about the bogus alarm install claim. But, everybody knows that the alarm circuits are connected to the fuel pumps. Because that just makes sense.
And initially it did it to me after the car had been sitting for a while, first thing in the morning, or after I left work around 11 hours sitting time.
Well the problem started before the alarm install. Approximately 1 month prior to the alarm. So I got a call back today, they replaced both fuel pumps. So the alarm is going back in tomorrow so they can verify there is no issue with it.
So hopefully everything is good by then, because its going back to another shop to get some other stuff done to it.
I have a slightly rough start in the morning (If it hasnt been drivin for a day or more) then all is good. I do believe im getting close due for a tune-up

Well it seems a wire melted. After changing 2 modules, and both fuel pumps they finally found the problem. Fully covered under warranty.
Glad everything is resolved.
A bit disappointed in service techs these days. It seems like they are practicing voodoo magic. "It's the alarm." "It's the fuel pumps." "Oh, it's just a wire."
My starting issues seem to have gone away once I filled up at another station. I'm assuming it was just bad gas, or some water in my tank. We'll see once I get a few more good starts under my belt.
I'm pretty sure it's the summer gas blend. Between June and Sept. my car has a long crank when cold. After Sept. my car starts right up.. I believe most large cities are required to switch to summer blend in June.
