Possible TSBs issues? (Moved)

I recently bought a 2006 300c srt8 in jan 09 with 28,000 miles on it. Im hearing rattling noise from the sunroof (possible Tsb issue) , Rough shift 1-2, and have scorred rotors another possible TSB. My warranty is 3year/36000 bumper and a 8 year/80000 pwtrn warranty. Am i covered for all this or am I goona be suprised by a big bill on pickup.I bought my car from Grand Prix Jeep Chrysler in Hicksville LI in NY and made a appt for the repairs there next week .

You're skirting the end of your months on the 3/36. You should find out what your In Service date is. The sunroof would be covered by that, if you're under the months. Not sure on the rotors, but I think they'd be under the BtB, too. The rough shift should be covered by the Powertrain warranty.

maybe

I can see you getting some service but only if the Stealership is flexible.

The brakes are only covered for 12/12 though. After that it's on you unless the issue was documented prior to that point.

Good luck!

My service date in July this year .I called the warranty dept. to make sure. If the rotors arent covered I guess i may wind up buying a new set. If anyones interested I found the Ebc red pads front and back at autobarn for $197.68 with free shipping!!! I researched and found that alot of peeople like these pads , they havnt lose any braking performance and also its less dust!
Ill post up what happens when I get my service and give a review of Grand Prix Chrysler service dept. in Long Island NY!

EBC is making a major move into our market lately. They used to be a "boutique" brand with some real hard racing pads. Now they make decent ones for sure, but I've seen way too many rotors chewed up from their pads to start buying from them yet!

Note that Bendix makes a nice set for SRT8's at less than 100 dollars delivered. Search Amazon for a deal.

If you want rotors the factory Mopar slotteds are here with our supporting vendor Mopar Supercenter - Not Your Average Discount Mopar Performance Direct Connection Parts Store! for less than 80 bucks each!

But also, he could get the slotted replacements if he gets the TSB for it, and if he doesn't already have them on the car.

You'll be extremely unlikely to get ANYTHING done to the brakes after 12 months, 12000 miles.

This includes TSB work.

I've read about people with 2006's getting it done. I doubt it's extremely unlikely like you state. But maybe I'm wrong

Got My SRT Back!

I picked up my car today and this is what happened!! First of all got nothing bad to say about Grand Prix jeep in hicksville they were very friendly and took good care of the car. They replaced and fixed evrything for the sunroof rattling ( Also did not leave any greasy finger prints on the liner or pillars) and they flashed my tranny so now theres no hesitation going from 1st to 2nd @ wot .All of this was done free of charge with the TSB! I also left a copy of the Tsb 's sitting on the passenger seat when I droped it off. They also gave me a loaner car for free. The only thing was the rotors since my rotors were not chewed up and i have 30,000 miles they said they could not do anything about it. One of the service reps there also has a 300c srt8 pushing 600hp sounds like a beast when he showed it to me , So if anyone goes there tell them you heard about it on the forum His name is ethan.I also mentioned i was going to post up my experience with them here.

One more thing the Mopar Anti freeze for the srt was only $21.00 so I picked up a gallon!!!

nice

glad to hear of a good experience.

Keep an eye on those brakes. The rears go first if you're an enthusiastic driver.
