Here I am driving the Trans-Canada highway to Banff on a sunny Saturday afternoon, when I feel a small road bump on the approach to a bridge. The ACC stops and a message reads ACC UNAVAILABLE. The ESP light has gone on as well. A short time later and another small bump in the road and BAS lights up. I stop the car and check the sensor behind the grill and it's solid. I re-start and all lights are off and the ACC is working again. I go to Canmore, then into Banff and tour around without any issues but, on the way home while in the National Park I feel another little bump on the road while my ACC was on and I was set at the 90 KMPH speed limit. This time the ESP LIGHT, the BAS light and the CHECK ENGINE lights all come on. I pull over to the side of the pitch black road and shut down. Upon restart I also see the alarm light is on and although the car started the BAS LIGHT remained on, the CHECK ENGINE light remained on, the red blinking alarm light remained blinking and the transmission was locked in park.
My friend, who I had bought dinner for, was far from supportive, yipping at me for stopping and shutting off the car. She offers this advise to me; "You should have bought a Honda!".
After a few minutes the blinking red light went off and I was able to put the beast into drive. I dropped my friend off in Canmore and made the decision to drive back to Calgary. I had no cruise control and at one point while the red light was blinking away the car seemed to lose power when I attempted to accelerate. In stop and go traffic in Calgary the transmission was really acting up while the confounded red alarm light was blinking. Anyhow this car is just 2 months old and 9600 KM.
Monday it was going in for it's second oil change. Now it's going in for a myriad of issues. Oh, while in Banff, I phoned my manager friend at the dealership and he told me he had not heard of the ACC UNAVAILABLE issue. Guess what, he's got that to deal with and a whole lot more.
When I find out what went wrong with this car I'll post more in here. If anyone has any ideas what the issue is, or may be, feel free to chime in. Tomorrow I may learn that key dance thing and get some of the codes. The check engine light is still on. The alarm system seems to be working.
Are you sure it wasn't Saturday afternoon? lol
It's Sunday 1:30 am right now. Afternoon is 10 hours away..... EDIT: Never mind - I don't know how I got "Sunday" in your post.....Duhhh.
Anyway, it sounds like your car went into 'Limp Home Mode" For some reason. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere since it was a bump that triggered it twice. The ACC will disengage, or not engage at all, if the ECM flags a fault in the vehicle's canbus network, for safety, and to protect vehicle's systems, and drivetrain.
Which dealership BTW? (Cringes) Most of the one's in Calgary suck.
Key Jingle? Here you go :
Insert key into ignition, and turn to the "acc" position
Turn key from the ''acc" to the "on" position three times in rapid succession, ending with the key in the "on" position. Do NOT start vehicle.
Code sequences (if any) will be dislayed at the bottom of the EVIC screen. If no codes are present you will see "-----" at the bottom of the EVIC screen.

BTW, your car wouldn't be magnesium blue by any chance, would it? And you got it from Renfrew Chrysler? Just a hunch....
No..... but I am aware of that 300C SRT8 as I tried to deal with them on that particular vehicle. I did some digging around and discovered that the car had been sold in February and although they were selling the vehicle as a demonstrator, it was actually a used vehicle that had used up six months of warranty. When I looked at that one the odometer read 757 KM. It also did not have the rear seat DVD system
I got mine through Courtesy and it came out of Northwest Chrysler Dealership in Red Deer. They picked it up and when they delivered it to me the car had just over 200 KM. It is paint code PBM as well but has all the available options including rear DVD.
Vyper ... When this car is fixed we could get together for a coffee as I'm sure we could swap a story or two about these beasts.
I just did the key dance and it displayed "U0101" . Not sure what that means yet. Although I have not driven it today it does look like the ACC, ESP and BAS have reset themselves. The check engine light is still on.
Sounds like you two have bonded! The fault code is: Lost Communication with TCM. Who knows what caused that, but try removing fuse #11 in the front power distribution centre for 30 seconds. That should clear the code.

TCM hmmmm...wiring harness maybe? Bernie it's a 2008 so it's fuse # 2 not 11. The ACC not available message is due to the fault code I think. He didn't get an ACC blinded message, so he may not need the TSB
I don't know if you caught my edit. but I just want to point out, that the ACC "not available" message is due to the fault code. He can of course have the TSB done, but if it were the ACC alone, the message would've been "ACC Blinded" and no codes would have come up.
Gerryhand, as Bernie mentioned, try pulling the ECM fuse. It's fuse # 2 for your model year. While you're at it. check for any other loose fuses. That in itself could cause what you descibed (loose fuse). And you may save yourself from the dealer trying to diagnose it.
Trust me, there isn't ANY dealer that I would recommend in Calgary. Although there are Chrysler dealers here that I have not been to yet.
Thank-you Rambit for the code clarification. TCM "Transmission Control Module" eh? I'm thinking I'm not going to clear the code because it's going in anyhow on Monday morning and the car is still under full warranty. I'm also going to give them a printed copy of the details as to how this series of lights and faults occurred. It's been my experience that when you tell the story to the service people they sometimes get it wrong. The dealership needs to locate and fix the problem on this vehicle. I looked at the link you supplied and that seems to pertain to a blinded ACC unit. The message I saw said ACC UNAVAILABLE. I'll ask them anyhow about that update.
